Security & privacy
The whole point of Gerendo is that it knows your business. So we built it from day one assuming you'd ask the hard questions about where that knowledge goes. Here are the answers.
Email bodies, AI summaries, extracted facts, and OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before they reach the database. The master key lives in our Vercel environment, not in Supabase. A leaked snapshot shows only ciphertext.
Postgres Row Level Security stops one tenant reading another. Application-layer encryption stops the database operator reading anyone. We use both, and we keep the line between them clear.
Your data is not anyone's training set. We route through Anthropic's standard commercial API, which does not train on customer data.
When you ask a question, relevant snippets are decrypted in memory on our app server and sent over TLS to Claude. Anthropic may retain prompts up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, per their standard terms. No training.
Gerendo respects the access controls in your source tools. If a teammate cannot see a file in Drive, they will not see an answer based on it.
Disconnect any source in one click. Export everything. Delete it all, permanently, whenever you want.
